Try to change the route next time you return to UK and follow the Danube

I don't know if it suits your plans, but route via Iron Gate gorge (Джердап) is one of the nicest driving roads Serbia has to offer. And not only because I live on the one end of it.

Enter Serbia via Монтана-Зајечар road (Връшка чука/Вршка Чука border crossing) or Видин-Неготин road (Брегово/Мокрање border crossing), then follow route via Кладово, Доњи Милановац, Голубац, Велико Градиште, Пожаревац, Белград and onwards to your destination.
We don't have such regular meetings, but a lot of our members are also active in other car related activities, so there is a group of people that meets in Belgrade almost every Sunday.
