Gledao sam opet listu vozaca koji su slobodni vozaci na kraju 2026. sezone. Dosta toga su spekulacije, tipa taj i taj vozac je potpisao novi ugovor 2023. godine, a NASCAR ugovori su uglavnom na 3 godine sto bi u teoriji oznacilo da bi taj vozac trebao biti slobodan vozac na kraju 2026. sezone...

Legacy Club i Rick Ware postigni dogovor oko tuzbe.

Originalno je Legacy Club tuzio Rick Ware da su im pristali prodati charter za 2026. sezonu, pa odustali.

Sadasnji dogovor kaze da ce Legacy Club kupiti taj charter, ali nije poznato hoce li se desiti 2026. ili 2027. sezone.

Legacy je nedavno rekao da je previse kasno u sezoni da razmisljaju o 3. timu za 2026. sezonu, tako da ce verovatno Rick Ware zadrzati taj charter za sledecu sezonu.

Rick Ware ce i dalje iznajmiti jedan od svojih chartera RFK-u za 2026. sezonu.

Tako da 2027. godine, Legacy se siri na 3 tima, Rick Ware ostaje sa 1 charterom, RFK se smanjiva sa 3 na 2 tima.

Kako Bob Pockrass pise (nista nije potvrdjeno), Rick Ware je najverovatnije vec sad prodao jedan od svojih chartera Legacy Club, ali ce ga Legacy Club iznajmiti RFK-u za 2026. sezonu. To znaci da bi bio ispostovan raniji dogovor prema kojem je Rick Ware potpisao 2-godisnji ugovor da iznajmljuje chartere RFK-u (maksimalno dozvoljeni period). Taj charter je ove sezone u #60 timu gde vozi Ryan Preece.

U sustini, po broju timova se nista ne bi promenilo za 2026. sezonu - RFK ce i dalje imati 3 tima, Legacy 2, Rick Ware 1. Jedino sta se promenilo je na papiru da RFK iznajmljuje charter od Legacy umesto od Rick Ware.

Povezano sa ovom pricom - nagadja se da ce Keselowski u penziju na kraju 2026. sezone i da ce ga zameniti Preece u #6 timu.

Te 2027. godine RFK nece imati 3. charter (osim ako nadju da ga kupe/iznajme), a sponzor Kroger je ranije stavio do znanja da je Preece njihov vozac. Keselowski ce tada vec biti u godinama (43), tako da se pretpostavlja da ce u penziju i da ce ubaciti Preecea u njegov auto.

NASCAR reconsiders playoffs: Full-season points format still possible

When NASCAR first convened a committee in February to gather feedback on the future of its championship format, only one person advocated for eliminating NASCAR’s playoff system altogether.

But in the most recent meeting last week, numerous influential committee members spoke on behalf of scrapping the playoffs and returning to the full-season points.

It is seemingly unlikely that NASCAR's much-maligned playoff format will be going away anytime soon, with numerous stars such as Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott having spoken out about the system in the past.

Currently, the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs are split into multiple rounds, with drivers who win races or have the highest point total advancing to the final race in Phoenix. After each round, a driver's playoff points are reset, making it difficult to have one driver dominate throughout the postseason.

That said, there have been discussions on potetially changing the format recently. However, The Athletic's Jeff Gluck believes that no change would be coming to the playoff format anytime soon.

In his roundup after New Hampshire, Gluck wrote how having a 36-race format would the best course of action for the sport's "long-term health." He noted that NASCAR is not "likely" to switch away from the current playoff format, stating the financial aspect that comes with the playoff branding.

It remains to be seen if NASCAR will change the current structure. One thing is clear — the current playoff format has been a divisive topic for drivers.

On a recent episode of his 'Actions Detrimental' podcast, Hamlin stated that fans should not get their "hopes up" on a 36-race format, despite there being "a lot of arguments for it." Should NASCAR switch, they would be one of the few sports without a playoff.

Still, the star hopes to see some change to make it easier for those who perform well in the regular season to be rewarded in the playoffs. " just hope is that it does get simplified," he said. "I want those that perform well over the first two-thirds of the season to be rewarded more than five points.

"I just want the guys that show excellence every week to be rewarded for that and not have to fight every three weeks with a reset to take away their advantage that they have built. So surely there's a format out there that can give a little bit to everyone and I think it's possible.

"From what I've seen, what I've seen proposed, we're on the right track. We're on the right track and it's certainly going to be better than what we have."

In recent months, NASCAR has proposed a potential "3-3-4" series playoff format, which would see more consistent action and performance from drivers. Speaking to reporters in mid-September, Elliott explained how the new system would be beneficial moving forward.

"I think it would be better than what we have," he said. "Because you just have a larger number of races in a round to decide. Seemingly would give an opportunity to have something that’s totally out of somebody’s hands, not completely derail their championship.

"So is it perfect? Probably not, but I would say that sounds better."

Ne vidim sta ce 3-3-4 sistem promeniti. Imao bi 4 trke u finalu i svako bi isao na sigurnu kartu, tipa "bolje da zavrsim u top 10 na svakoj od te 4 trke i osvojim gomilu stage poena nego da jurim pobede i potencijalno se slupam".

I dalje stojim iza toga da je originalni sistem bio najbolji jer je nagradjivao voznju za celu sezonu. Sve posle toga je bilo da mozes da prespavas 2/3 sezone i opet osvojis titulu.

Chevrolet ce imati novi automobil za 2026. sezonu.

Posto vise ne prave putnicke automobile osim Corvette (a nju nece da koriste), verovatno ce biti auto inspirisan Chevroletovom dizajnerskom skolom. Znaci nece biti zasnovan na ni jednom serijskom modelu vec ce imati dizajnersku inspiraciju svih Chevroleta.

NASCAR auti vise nemaju veze sa serijskim autima, danas su sve samo nalepnice. Sama Corvetta se ne uklapa u imidz NASCAR-a, zato je ne koriste, a ne zato sto ne mogu da stave Corvettine nalepnice na stock auto. NASCAR se jos uvek vodi kao redneck sport i tesko je ocekivati od nekog bogatasa da plati $200.000 za Corvettu ako se trka u redneck sportu. Ta odluka da Corvette nema u NASCAR-u je najvise da se zastiti Corvettin imidz.

Ne povecavaju brzinu na kratkim ovalima vec sansu za prestizanjem. Vozaci su se zalili da automobili nisu dovoljno mocni da pruse side-by-side trkanje.

In an interview on the Dale Jr. Download, NASCAR president Steve O’Donnell said anything more than 750 horsepower would create a $40-50 million dollar competition price increase on the industry.

“Our job is yeah, we want to make a call earlier but you have to think about the out years,” O’Donell said. “We’re looking at Dodge coming into the sport. We’re looking at other OEMs and our current partners.

“Those guys like the engine today. Don’t want to make a change unless we’re going to stick with it. We looked at this as said, we can go to 750, are you guys all good … ‘yeah, we’re good with that but we also potentially want to go to a new engine architecture.’

“That’s a potentially three-year runway.”

NASCAR has explored alternative fuels or electrification. In addition to Dodge, which is re-entering the Truck Series next year with RAM, also has a current generation Cup Series engine it previously used. Honda also has an offer on the table to use a different kind of platform, but NASCAR could regulate it using wheel sensors.

“Any of those things, three-year runway, we didn’t want to say, ‘1000 now and three years from now say just kidding, changing it again,’ because that’s hundreds of millions of dollars to the industry so that’s why,” O’Donnell said.

The Athletic pise da ce #7 automobil u Spire verovatno imati novog vozaca sledece sezone.

Vozac je trenutno Justin Haley, koji je poprilicno razocarao ove sezone (29. u generalnom plasmanu). Haley je imao par obecavajucih rezultata prosle godine (kada je vozio za Rick Ware), sto je privuklo paznju Spirea, ali je definitivno jedan od onih vozaca od koga se svake godine ocekuje da eksplodira - samo sto to nikako to da se desi. Imao je i Haley par solidnih rezultata ove sezone, ali opet sve je to slabo.

Ako stvarno izgubi posao, Daniel Suarez se spominje kao potencijalna zamena.

Pojavila se prica da je Ricky Stenhouse Jr kandidat da preuzme to vozacko mesto. Medjutim, on kaze da ima ugovor sa Hyakom i za sledecu sezonu.

Spire potvrdio da se Justin Haley nece vracati u tim sledece sezone.

Imam osecaj da ovo znaci da ce Daniel Suarez preuzeti to mesto. Ne vidim ko bi drugi mogao dobiti posao.

Ocekuje se da ce Haley sledece sezone voziti opet za Kaulig. Za njih je vozio u Xfinity od 2019-2021. i onda u Cup 2022-2023.

Verujem da se sada kaje sto je zajebao Keselowskog, napustio Rick Ware i otisao u Spire - jer Keselowski ga je planirao kao svog naslednika u #6.
