WRC 2027 Nova Era

Od 2027 WRC ukida Rally1 klasu. Odnosno Rally2 automobili (ono što je danas WRC2) postaju glavna stvar.

The WRC's 2027 rules introduce a cost cap of €345,000, allow Rally2-based engines and transmissions, and permit flexible, diverse bodywork including SUVs and hatchbacks to reduce costs and boost manufacturer interest. Cars will use a common spaceframe chassis but offer freedom for bespoke bodywork within a defined zone, and will no longer include hybrid systems, shifting to sustainable combustion or alternative powertrains. This new era aims for increased manufacturer involvement and a more sustainable, diverse field of cars.

Trenutno u toj klasi su: Ford Fiesta, Škoda Fabia, Toyota Yaris, Citroen C3, Hyundai i20 N, Volkswagen Polo GTI R5.

Ovo me podseća na DTM. Kad je propala ona skupa varijanta i Merc izašao serija nije mogla dugo opstati i otvorili su pravila za GT3 automobile.

Lancia se vraća u WRC

Lancia has officially announced that it is developing a Rally2 car, revealing an official video and images of its new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale.

The Italian car maker, winner of a record 10 World Rally Championship constructors' titles (1974-1976, 1983, 1987-1992), has moved to confirm that is developing a new rally car after footage of the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale from a recent test in France emerged on social media last week.
